I’d say try to raise your ACT score to the 32-33-34 range atleast and you’ll have a very decent shot!

bump 10 char

any perspectives?

Echoing what skittlescutie said, I would definitely try to raise your ACT score. Especially that science score of 27 doesn’t look too good. Try to make each component relatively close to the other components.

bump 10 char

Obviously there’s no more time to raise your standardized testing scores now. If that’s how you submitted your application, you stand a fair chance at admission. It is hard to say that you stand out. You’re extracurricular activities are somewhat generic. It seems you pushed the limits of your school’s educational offerings, taking courses at the local college. The sense I get is that not only are you an intelligent student, but one with initiative. Hopefully, that came through on your essays. I believe the substance of your essay will hold the determining factor on Duke’s decision for you. There are a few components of your application tugging you toward rejection, hopefully you overcome the adversity of your test scores and lackluster ec’s.

thank you. just curious is a 30 ACT frowned upon very seriously, or is it possibly a benchmark that will just need additional pull by other application material such as rank and gpa etc

i asked this because Duke’s ACT scores range from 30-34
