I am thinking about applying to Cornell, UVA, Georgia Tech, George Washington, and NC State

Total Honors: 10
Total AP's: 5

I plan on getting 22 A's and 3 B's throughout high school.

Freshman GPA: 4.14
Sophomore GPA: 4.3
Junior GPA: 5.0
Senior GPA (projected): 5.5

Unweighted GPA: 3.85
Weighted GPA (after junior year): 4.47
Weighted GPA (projected senior year): 4.72
GPA on 4.0 max scale: 3.94

Probably top 10%-15% of class (of 340)

SAT: Based off of my practice tests, I think a 2100 is realistic.
ACT: Haven't taken it yet

EC's:
-33 hours of volunteering (I will have at least 100 by the time I submit my application).
-COO and President of the consumer goods sector of the research committee on the stock market club
-Wrestling: 3-year varsity letter, 3-time All-conference, 3-time all-region, 2-year team captain
-Scholar athlete award (highest GPA on wrestling team)
-Spanish 3 National Spanish Exam honorable mention

Additional:
-White
-$60,000 yearly household income
-I think my essays should be exceptional
-My recommendations should be above average, but not spectacular
-I have no doubt that I can ace the interview

Cornell: Is there a chance?
UVA: How big a reach?
George Washington: match (?)
NC State: safe
Georgia Tech: Match(?)

I live in NC

Gt and gw certainty a match. Uva oos is very competitive but you have a good chance with you gpa and decent rigour. For cornel if you can get your sat up to near 2250ish you should be in since you are a varsity athlete

Depends on what you get on your SAT, and your subject tests (which, I would assume would be required for Cornell, since it’s a competitive school - otherwise, it would probably be good to take them to make your application stand out), and the quality of your essay. At least on paper, I think you’re on par with some of the more competitive applicants. GTech has an admit rate of over 50%, so you might even be able to consider that as a safety. GW’s probably a match, and I don’t think UVA is too big of a reach.

I think you’ve got a pretty decent chance for all of your choices, especially NC State as an In State Student.
Do as well as you project on the SAT to raise your chances for Cornell and try out the subject tests.
Your EC’s seem pretty well as well.

Thanks for chancing me! Good Luck!!

Regular unweighted , college-style 4.0 max

Freshman year: 3.86 , 3.96
Sophomore year: 3.83 , 3.95
Junior year: 3.83 , 3.95
Senior year (projected): 4.0 , 4.0

All three of my B’s were high B’s. In fact, they were all over 90%, so by most schools they would have been A’s, but my school uses a 7-point grading scale.
