Currently a Jr.
NJ Resident
GPA of a 2.9 (will probably get it up to a 3.0).
I Haven't taken the SAT yet however I took the PSAT and got a 193, so I will likely get a 1900 on the SAT.
I took all honors classes my Freshman year, sophomore year I only took honors Algebra 2 and Honors US history, this year I have Honors US 2 History and Honors Computer Science ( I plan on getting a degree in this field).
My recommendations probably won't be very good because most teachers think I'm a goofball.
I am on the Foot Ball team however any sort of athletic scholarship is out of the question as I am terrible at Foot Ball.
I also have about 340 service hours total likely to be about 520 hours by the end of this year.
I will most likely go for a Computer Science major
I really just want to know what my chances are of getting into Rutgers New Brunswick it is defiantly my first choice because of the tuition but I am worried that my GPA will bog me down and that I may not get in because of it.

If you bumb your GPA up to at least a 3.5 and get a 1900 on you SAT I think it’ll be very likely that your going to get in good luck

I’m not sure that I can bring my GPA up to a 3.5, however my JR year GPA will probably be a 3.5. but I did so bad Freshman and Sophomore year it would be hard to get it up to even a 3.2

Well assuming that your going to get at least a 1900 I believe you have a great shot. GPA I’ll try to bring it up to at least a 3.2 3.3

Rutgers does not require teacher recommendations, so you’re saved there!

2.9 is borderline. It would help if you submit your application earlier, rather than later.

Worse case scenario: you don’t get in for the fall, you go to cc for a semester or 2, and then you transfer into Rutgers.

Either way, you will survive and prosper, I guarantee it!

ps change your sign on name.
