You have a shot but, SAT’s need to come WAY up to have a realistic chance.

How much up? 100 pts?

At least 100, not sure how much writing section is considered. The higher the better your chances.
My UW GPA was about 3.3 or 3.4 but, my SAT 1440/1600. Gotta believe my SAT tipped the decision for me

I went to the Bing yesterday for a visit and the guy leading the informational session told us that the writing section of the SAT will not be regarded as a factor for admittance.

Oh really? When I was there they said it would be. Maybe it depends on your major? You’re a science major but I’m liberal arts, so maybe there’s a distinction.

The details on College Board seem to suggest that the Writing section is indeed used:

[College Search - SUNY University at Binghamton - Binghamton University - SAT®, AP®, CLEP®](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

Perhaps! Although, I might not have heard him correctly (I was so tired from the ride up there)

They do not look at the writing section, only critical reading and math.

They list the average writing scores for admitted students, so obviously it does play some role.

They do NOT use the SAT Writting as part of their decision process. They have started to track that score so that is why you see that info on College Board. That is what they told us in info session a month ago.
