*Hook- URM (black/African-American)

Chance me for:
- Boston University
- George Washington University

You have a chance, I would say they are low reaches based on the ACT score and GPA.

Most importantly what can your family afford? Both are extremely expensive privates and I would not anticipate receiving much aid/scholarship money with your stats.

Well I consider myself upper middle class so if need be my family could still probably afford to pay. However we are applying for financial aid. I have an older sister in college too so maybe they’ll take that into consideration and give more money

Make sure you stress why your ECs make you a good fit for the school in your essays. SAT/GPA are kinda low, I’d say they’re both high matches/low reaches.

Also if it’s worth mentioning since sophomore year there’s been an upward trend in grades. I’ve been working really hard this year and my GPA is a 92 this year. My course load is AP Bio, AP Government & Politics, College level Anatomy & Physiology II, Honors Calculus, Honors English IV, Honors Psychology, Fitness/Health IV, and an EMT class

Very impressive ECs! However, your GPA and ACT do impair your chances. I still believe you have a good shot at both Boston and GWU. Did you retake the ACT in December? Anything above a 30 would really improve your chances. Best of luck! Chance me back?
