Do I have a shot at getting off the waitlist?

<p>So I was waitlisted at Cornell. I was wondering what my odds of actually getting off the waitlist were. Does anybody actually get accepted from the waitlist? What are the numbers like? Anybody who has any answers, I would appreciate a response. Thanks!</p>

<p>I believe last year 200 people got in off the waitlist. What school did you apply to.</p>

<p>I just called Arts and Sciences Admissions Office. The woman said that each year they waitlist "a couple hundred" (or that many end up on the waitlist), and accept 20-30.
Their waitlist isn't ranked.</p>

<p>Im at the engineering school, dont know how that will differ from Arts and sciences.</p>
