Do I have a shot at Iowa State Engineering?

<p>Can I get into Iowa State Engineering?
(Mechanical, specifically)</p>

<p>Ethnicity/Gender: White Male, with no "hooks".</p>

<p>AP courses I've taken/taking:
-AP U.S. History
-AP Lang & Comp
-AP Psychology</p>

<p>Foreign Language: 3 years of spanish
Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, College Algebra (pre-calc, essentially). I plan to take Calc 1 over the summer
Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science & Technology, Forensics, Brain Studies
English: 4 years worth (1 AP class, 1 Honors class)
History: 4 years worth (2 AP classes, 1 Honors class)</p>

-3.55 UW, 3.6 W GPA
-26 ACT
-Over 400 hours of community service
-National Honors Society (Grade 12)
-Guitar Club President and Founder (grades 10-12)
-GADGET (science Club) (grade 11)
-University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Engineering Camp (grade 11)
-Northwestern University Engineering Camp (grade 11)
-Science Achievement Award (grade 9)
-Illinois Excellence in Writing Award (grade 12)
-Part-time job from grades 10-11
- Film Club (grade 12)
-Wrestling (grade 9)
-Marching Band (Grades 9,10)
-Pep Band (Grade 10)

<p>you’ll get in but you might struggle the first year. Not being negative, but Calc 2 is a weedout course that you’ll take first semester. i know kids with similar academic stats to yours and half struggled and half did fine. Just keep your chin up and do the homework, find friends to study with and you should be fine.</p>
