Do I have a shot at Scripps?

Hi there, I am a junior and I am planning on applying early decision to Scripps this fall. I visited last summer, and I love everything about it. My only concern is if I will be able to get in or not!
Currently I am enrolled in AP Physics 1 and AP English Lang, as well as trig, Spanish 4 and US history.
My extracurriculars are 4 years of choir, 3 years of acting, participation in the school musical, 1 year of cross country and track, and 2 years of field hockey
My GPA is 3.95 UW, 4.23 weighted
Next year my AP classes are AP gov, AP econ, AP English and AP environmental science
I just took the SAT for the first time and I haven’t gotten my scores back yet, but I plan to retake it after taking a course and will hopefully score in the 2100-2200 range, based on practice tests I have taken.
I worked at a cafe last summer, and will work as a camp counselor this summer.
Where I am mainly lacking is community service. I am applying to places in my area for volunteer work that would amount to around 5 hours a week so hopefully I will have around 100 hours by the time I apply in the fall.

So what are my chances? And what should I focus on in order to better my application? I am going for an interview in the spring, so I hope showing interest early on can also better my chances.
Thanks so much! And if anyone who attends Scripps or got into Scripps can give me some details of their application, I would much appreciate it.

I’d say you totally have a chance!! Maybe increase your leadership roles but you are definitely involved. Also, get started on and tweak your essays as early on in the process as possible (Sep/Aug) before you have too much to handle with school and choir. What major are you leaning toward? Try to show some initiative or direction within that field in the context of your school (via ECs or volunteer work).

I’d also say visit again if you are close enough, or try an overnight so you can really show interest. Also, an interview will definitely help both you and Scripps learn more about each other.

You sound like you have a solid grip on this whole school concept  keep up the rad work and best of luck.

Thank you very much! I am really not sure, but maybe political science for a major.

Yes I think you have a chance. Definitely interview - the interview really helped get me in, as they really do a holistic approcach. Good luck!

Great thank you!
