I'm thinking of applying to George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University.

My "statistics":

GPA: 2.79.....Freshman- 2.2, Sophomore- 2.8, Junior- 3.4, Senior- 4.0, but do colleges consider senior year?...I asked my counselor and he said "No, colleges only look at freshman to junior year." :(

SAT Reasoning Test: 1760...Reading- 560, Math- 620, Writing- 580.

Extra Curricular Activities: Track, DECA, FBLA, Spanish Honor Society. I also did some volunteer work for a charity group.

Awards/Certificates: Honor Roll(A's and B's) lol, and IB certificate.

Are there any other colleges that you guys think would accept students like myself?

Thanks in advance.:)

to my knowledge, sophomore and junior year are most important. They also take the 1st semester of the senior year into account. You’ve improved significantly, so I think that will help out alot. I’m not familiar with how selective these schools are, but if you can make yourself stand out, you have a shot!

^Hi, thanks for the reply.

Can anyone give me some advices and what my chances are?

Thanks a lot.

Chance me too! :)

Depends, if your college asks for a mid-year report or not; if they do, then they will look at senior year. I think you’re good with GMU and VCU. GMU has pretty sick buildings haha; super-modern campus!

Congrats on the upward grade trend. Your sats are definitely good enough for those schools. But your gpa will be a problem it is quite low but neither of the schools are super selective so as long as your essays and recs are great I think you still stand a chance. Goodluck could u please chance me back

Thanks for the responses guys!
