I think if you demonstrate a lot of interest by applying ED then you have a fair chance. I was accepted ED, and my ACT composite was similar - 33 in science, 36 in reading, 34 in english, 27 in math. My SAT II scores were 720 in literature and 720 in u.s. history.

I don't know what a 10.6 GPA is, but my GPA is a 3.8 - 3.9

Your AP scores should help - I had a 5 in U.S. History and a 5 in AP Lang (my high school does not offer a lot of AP classes).

Your ECs aren't remarkable in comparison to the majority of applicants, but they're good.

Tufts is reach for anyone, so nothing - no matter how good your stats are - is guaranteed.

Good Luck!

thanks anyone else? actually today I found out my UW GPA is 10.8, which is about a 3.6.

I'd say you have a good chance. If Tufts is your #1, apply ED I definitely.

thanks I'm a little worried my GPA is too low...

it will be tough for sure but it is possible. you really just need to stress how much you love the school and show them why it is such a good fit for you.

at this point don't worry about your gpa, there is nothing you can do to change that/ what you can change are your sat scores, your essays and your senior year grades

i would try and bring up your sats scores a bit you by no means need a 2400 but a little higher could do nothing but help. don't go crazy maybe just buy an sat book and browse it here and there during the summer

essays are SUPER important. tufts really cares about them (there's was the longest application i did) the point of the essays is for them to get a sense of what kind of person you are behind the numbers. so be sincere, be honest and let your personality shine through.

lastly, senior grades are really important so be sure to keep them up and strive to be your best for that one semester because the second semester you can take a well earned break!
