Do I have a shot at UVA/Brown? Are they in my league?

Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male
Religion: Jewish (have been bar mitzvahed)

I can’t tell you much about Brown (except it’s a reach for everyone), but UVA is a low-mid reach because you’re OOS (out of state). However, your stats are very competitive for UVA.

Getting a 3.7 as a Jewish person isn’t too conductive to your chances at Brown.

UVa would be a match to high match if you get an SAT score of 2100+.

Easier to get into UVA than to Brown. (Both competitive.) UVA might be as hard if looking for aid. What you need to do, in order of importance : (I’m assuming you are a junior, not graduating in 2018, lol) 1. is to study very hard and pull up your grade point average.
2. do prep, etc to get as good as possible SAT or ACT scores. (consider taking both). 3. Is your wrestling good enough to get you recruited for college? If you think so, start really talking with your coach re this now.

Oh I meant to say graduating from highschool in 2014.

 1. I think by november I can a 3.85 and make me in the top 10%
 2. I took the ACT on saturday and think I did pretty well. If it can increase my chance I’ll try to take it June
 3. Unfortunately I can’t. I’m not good enough and tbh wrestling D1 would suck

Thanks for the advice and help everyone!
