also, i want to major in russian studies so... yeah any input is GREATLY appreciated
thanks :):)

Your transcript looks peculiar. Spanish 2 to 4 without 3? French 2 without French 1? More science than humanities majors usually choose? No Russian (or test scores in Russian if your school doesn’t have it)?

I don’t see any compelling reason to admit you, but it might happen because of your interest in Russian studies.

whoops i forgot to add that i took spanish 3 sophmore year
and the jump to french 2 isnt so bad after 4 years of spanish
i like languages - thanks for the encouragement lol

Although ur high school rank/grade looks good, ur outside academic lack vitality and passion. u just look like someone who just excels in just his area, not beyond. but give it a try. there are quite a few essays for penn ED, so if u do well… no one knows

A 30 ACT is a 1340 Sat in math& science. It’s very unlikely you grt into Penn. I also don’t see any Calculus, or any AP Bio or Chem. Unless you take SAT or Act again and get significantly higher Penn is a huge reach.

Russian studies is indeed an interesting major. It happens to be my major of choice for Penn ED as well. Your course load isn’t optimal, but scores and GPA are solid. My advice for you (and my personal strategy) is to emphasize why you want to be a Russian major in your essays. Really hammer the point home. Are you planning on taking an SAT language subject test?
Anyway, best of luck.

I say its a far reach. While your GPA is great, your ACT and ECs are a little underwhelming. But, you never know with ivies so just do your best on your application and you still might get in.

guys,i hav a score of 700 in Math Ic and 660 in physics subject tests.what are my chances if i apply for ED?sat scores yet to come.is is a gud idea to apply for ED?i ll get sat scores a week before ED deadline.i am an international student.
