Do i have a shot for Brown's PMLE, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, maybe Harvard?
Please tell me why or why not and what I can do better.

ure going to get blatantly rejected from all those colleges. GOSH!

For Brown PLME, you need to show that you're interested in medicine -- usually by volunteering in a hospital, working in a lab, being an EMT, etc. I don't see any of those things on your activities... if you're a junior, there's still plenty of time -- get started on those kinds of things this year or this coming summer. Also, for PLME, try to get your SAT or ACT up -- you'll especially want a very high math score.

Werd, what cooldude said. If you don't have a shot, nobody does. (Other than improving your SAT's a lil bit...)

Wow, when do you have time to sleep?

Seriously, good job on everything. I th

I think you have a great shot (Sorry, fingers flying too fast!)

Thanks a lot for letting me down easily cooldude. Who are you chunlin? And for ilovebrown, I'm doing a medical on training ROP course for half my senior year, do u believe that is sufficient for the medical experience. If not, what are some more things I can start doing, because i'm a senior.

This is a bit off subject, but you up for a game of chess sometime? I am Pres. of my Chess Club (4 years), email me or PM if you're interested.

3 years FBLA... sounds suspicious

i was letting u down? lol u gotta be kidding.

Dennis Zheng. I should have known. And yes, three years in FBLA.

Seriously, 1500 Hours? That's like 100 times the normal amount...seems almost impossible for a human being. I do love the typo on "softmore" :)

If you seriously have those stats, you should definetely consider those schools. Of course, essays and recommendations are very important parts of your application, so make sure you write them well.

colleges may be disappointed that you were not willing to dedicate 4 full years to FBLA, 3 seems wishy-woshy

Before I read this thread, I was going to respond "yes, an IV requires a shot." Now that I've actually read the thread, yes, you have a good shot at top schools. HYP (possibly Columbia as well) are reaches, but your chances are good at the rest.

Coptic is not at all like Latin. It's Egyptian borrowing from Greek.

Consider Northwestern's HPME.

thanks for your post warbelhall. Sorry if I slashed your name. What I meant in that coptic was similar to latin was this it was a dead language. But correct, it is ancient egyptian, with 7 different letters different from the greek language. I speak both. What is northwestern's program like? Can you please give me some more info. Thanks

Northwestern's program is a BA/MD program- you spend three years at Northwestern (Arts & Sciences, engineering, or communications) and then you move on to medical school.

There's a very good thread about BA/MD programs:

Holy............in...........

hmmm...i do believe im in fbla, and looking through the members records...nope...your not in it....ever

It's scary to think that I'm competing against kids like you next year for college admissions. I suggest you try contacting debate coaches at those schools, it could open doors.

Well in reality you don't really need a SHOT to get an IV. When you get an IV it first feels like a SHOT however it stays there and you slowly stop feeling the SHOT from the IV.
