do i have a shot?...( hopefully).....

hey there,

do i have a chance with a 3.3 GPA and an 1190 ( old scale ) SAT?

Great recs, AMAZING extra curric.....Hard courses.....Awsome essay

Barely.........................20% or so.

It might depend on exactly how amazing those extracurriculars are...

Take a look here

<a href="http://www.admissions.wisc.edu/images/freshmanExpectations2006.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.wisc.edu/images/freshmanExpectations2006.pdf</a></p>

The people here who had GPAs below the average (average of 3.7 unweighted) were often from extremely difficult high schools both in state and out of state (say, Newton South in Boston) and had very high SAT scores, almost always above 1400

uhh im OOS n from a plain old boring public hs in jersey... accepted in less than a month but with a uw gpa (with only core courses) of about a 3.5 ...if wisconsin takes the uw gpa with non-core courses in addition, it would be mich higher i suppose (As in phys ed, and electives). or maybe i was just lucky and they mixed me up or something lol
