Do I have a shot?

I'm from Kentucky, far from the Ivy League schools so I don't know much about the admissions standards. Just wondering what my chances are at Harvard, Cornell, Princeton, etc.... I have only taken the SAT once, so I could probably improve; I scored a 2190. 780 math and 740 writing, but I bombed CR with a 670. My ACT composite is a 35, but I have a 36 superscored. 4.0 unweighted GPA, having taken AP cal ab, ap cal bc, ap spanish 4, ap english language, ap human geo, ap us history, ap stats.

My ECs aren't quite so strong... 4 year high school soccer, part time job with 10 hours a week, National Honor society, spanish national honor society, math written assessment for academic team, and that's about it. I attended Governor's scholar program, which is a relatively prestigious five week summer enrichment program in Kentucky. I am a National Merit Semi-finalist, and should advance to finalist. I am a fairly good writer and should be able to produce some decent essays. I should be able to get excellent letters of recommendation.

Harvard accepts 6 students out of every 100 applications it receives. With those kind of odds, many valedictorians with 4.0 unweighted GPA’s and 2400 SAT’s are rejected. Rather than ask strangers to “chance you”, you should be asking yourself: What unique talents and abilities can I bring to Harvard? What else, besides my GPA and great extracurriculars, will make my application standout from the crowd? What separates me from the 35,000 other students who are also applying? When you have answered those questions, you will know what chance you have.

Don’t worry about the SAT; a super-scored 36 ACT is as good as any score on the SAT. Just send them the ACT and you’re set on that front. What gibby said about the rest of it.
