Do I have a shot?

What are my chances of getting into Columbia?
I'm applying for Biomedical Engineering (Fu Foundation SEAS)
I'm applying Regular Decision.
I attend a competitive private school in Michigan (Out of State).
I have fairly decent essays and good recommendations.
The other schools I'm looking at are Umich and Johns Hopkins.
Thanks for your input.

Hmm...seein how new you are to Collegeconfidential, I wouldn't tear you apart by saying that no one in here has the TRUE ability to assess your chances.

With that said, however, I believe your chances are very good with your scores and I think you know that too.

Sorry, Can't say much anymore...But good luck!

Your GPA, however, doesn't seem to match with your "cum laude"s.

Your indian right?..ur in...lol

lol yea im indian
and yea my gpa is crappy
the only reason i have magna cum laudes is because at our school, 88's are B+'s (which i have a lot of) and 89's are A-'s and an overall average of 89 = magna cum laude

everything looks fine ACT is really high. you stand a really good chance!
you might want to pick up the GPA and SAT IIs a little (writing and physics) but it is very likely that you will get in. don't worry about it.

i myself am doing ED at columbia: biomed. Eng.
