Hoping to win an award or two with Science Olympiad

I plan on doing something with either languages or science

Oh, I'm hispanic and neither one of my parents went to college

I think that covers the main points so thanks in advance! (any other school recommendations for me?)

Um. I’ll be pretty surprised if you don’t get at least deferred.

For your test score, you should get it up to the best you think you can do.

Your grades, rigor, and testing all are great. For Penn, however, the essay is the deal breaker. If you write a good essay, I’d say you’re in. If your essay is less than stellar, you’re not. Penn boasts about how it rejects half of the valedictorians who apply, because half of them had bad essays.

hells yea…

Actually, Penn used to reject 62% of the valedictorians who applied, and that was when the overall acceptance rate was 16.1%, and not as low as the 12.4% it was this past year:

That only furthers my point…

Thanks for the input you guys!

Guys, (s)he’s Hispanic…with good test scores, GPA, ECs, and rigor, (s)he’s pretty much a bye.

Did not read the first generation hispanic part. Never mind my above post, I would be surprised if you didn’t get in.

definitely in

you have 2 hooks…I think that should do it plus you have a great resume

Apply ED!!
