<p>I am currently attempting to get into UT-Austin as an out of state applicant from Florida. I am aware that being an out of state applicant is very competitive, and was hoping you guys could chance me. I specifically want to be into the petroleum engineering program as it is currently the most prestigious in the nation.</p>

<p>Here are my stats:
I have a 5 in AB Calc
AP Stat
AB Physics
AP Literature
AP World History
AP Human Geography
AP US History
AP Art History</p>

<p>I have a 3.9 g.p.a. unweighted and a 4.6 weighted
I have a 2270 on the SAT
I am in the top 5% in my class</p>

<p>My EC's are:
Varsity football 3 years
Eagle Scout
250+ Service hours at a library
Mu Alpha Theta member
I also have 50+ hours at the First Tee</p>

<p>Your GPA and Test scores are better than average but your ECs are a little lacking. But if you wrote stellar essays and got good recs id say you’re a high match.</p>

<p>It is tough to say. ECs are your soft spot. That eagle scout will really help, but you need some stuff that sets you apart.</p>
