Do I have a shot?

Hello!

I am a Junior in High School and have been doing my college search for the past month and OSU has caught my attention because it’s a great school with a great engineering program. But when I saw that they have a direct admission to engineering, I noticed their stats and am wondering if I have a chance?

So in short, my question is do you think I would be able to get direct admission, pre-engineering or not in at all?

Some of my stats:
11th Grade
30 ACT
4.2 GPA at end of Junior year for weighted, but my unweighted might be 3.6 at the end of the year
2 main leadership positions
100+ volunteer hours

Also, a worry that i’m having is that I got 2 c’s in an elective, but the elective course doesn’t have anything to do with my intended major for mechanical engineering.

What is your class rank? OSU puts a lot of emphasis on whether someone is in top 10% of their class, between 10-25%, or not in top 25%.

Are you in-state or out-of-state?

I am out of state and my school doesn’t report class rank. However, I should be 15%-25/% of my class. Also, do Ohio State take into consideration of the prestige of your high school? I don’t go to a top 100 school but my school does rank in the top 1000. @osuprof

act score of 30 and top 15% - 25% of the school - you should have a good shot at engineering.
