Do i have a shot?

<p>Originally I considered Penn state main as a safety but some seniors who had decent grades in my school got shot down so I'm worried.</p>

<p>rank:8/400(rough estimate on the total number of students in my grade,could be 400~450 ish)
GPA:junior year final average 96/100(dunno how to convert)
junior year:
AP Chem AP US History , honors everything else
senior year(haven't taken them yet)AP Physics AP calculus, the rest are honors
SAT: CR:610 math:740 writing:600(taking them again in October..hopefully will get CR up)
Race:Asian</p>

<p>satII: 760 math Ic, 740 chem</p>

<p>probably gonna major in computer engineering or computer science...</p>

<p>extracurricular:
4 years viola in orchestra
works in family restaurant for 6 years
honor society..
not much besides that , and I'm worried >.<

<p>You're in. I don't know about SHC, but probably not.</p>

<p>It is getting harder and harder to get accepted. I think you'll get in, but I don't see you getting into honors.</p>

<p>I just don't see anything in your EC's that will get you into honors.</p>

<p>I think you'll get into PSU. As far as the SHC question goes, I definitely think you have a shot. My friend got in with much lower stats than yours (I guess they really do pay attention to the essays-do well on them!).</p>

<p>oy thanks everyone...i really suck at essay writing so there's probabbly no chance for me to get into SHC....but penn state is an awsome school regardless! btw how's the meal plan food?eatable?
oh and yes, i'm in state, so hopefully it will be cheap like below 10k with some scholarships...</p>
