<p>If you can write a stellar essay and I would suggest on your desire to fulfill a career in the medicine field, then I would say you have a pretty good chance. Maryland likes to see dedication and uniqueness and they certainly can see so since you already have many milestone accomplishments in the world of science and engineering.</p>

<p>@lindz: I must say that HS in Pakistan is difficult. If you get good grades, then its an achievement. They follow a UK based curriculum (O Levels and A Levels), which makes HS pretty tough.</p>
<p>HS there is 13 years. So by the time you are done with your 13th year, you already have many college level courses with you. No need to give APs. I got 20 credits off my undergraduate program :)</p>
<p>I didn’t mean to come across as being sarcastic-- going to HS abroad is seriously helpful for college admissions. I would think even more so when the curriculum is difficult, like yours was.</p>
