thanks. :)

Definitely get those test scores up a bit. How do your courseload and GPA compare to those of other students in your school? I think a lot of places perceive AP Stat and AP Enviro Sci as slacker AP classes, because, well, they are at most schools that offer them, especially relative to AP Calc and AP Biology or whatever. If these are the hardest classes you had to work with, then that's fine, but if you had lots of other AP and honors options, your chances of getting in to Carleton aren't going to be too high (and chances for virtually any applicant aren't that high to begin with).

Aside from those issues, though, how much do you know about Carleton's theater department? It's small and right now the facilities are pretty bad, though that will change once the old middle school gets turned into the arts union building. Only a couple of people major in theater each year, and you're going to have to love every professor in the department. You could do a little more investigation by poking around the website, getting an idea for what courses are offered how often, emailing the student department advisor, looking at what productions have been done in the past, etc. I recommend finding a lot of other schools you like to add to your list, though, especially ones with more robust theater majors.

unfortunately (?), i go to one of the best public schools in the nation...haha. it's in the top 100 by every ranking i've seen, at least. math and science have never been my strong point...and i didn't hit my academic niche until about junior year, so didn't have the opportunity to take anything more advanced.

i know the theatre department isn't fantastic...but i don't necessarily mind. i'm not planning on being an actor (i want to teach). i have lots of theatre-full schools on my list (:
