I'm a rising senior at a rural high school in Minnesota. I'm a bit torn as to where I want to go. I'm looking towards an International Studies or Political Science Major while fufilling a Pre-Med Track.

I'm looking at:
Macalester College
NYU
Boston University
Fordham University
Swarthmore
Carnegie Mellon
Tufts

Weighted GPA: 4.0
Unweighted GPA: 4.03
Class Rank: 3/120 (This should change next year)

Hmm… question: How is your weighted lower than your unweighted? You may want to consider adding in another AP for next year, if possible. Other than that, your ECs look pretty solid, with some good leadership roles. Perhaps trying to get that SAT a little higher… All together though, nice job!

doesn’t seem to challenge you very much with only one AP. It’s good that you’re taking college courses; maybe you should continue that with a Calculus BC equivalent or some other course you’re into. Based on your SAT, you seem like a math student; you should try to work on those Writing/Reading scores to get close to the 700’s. Also, consider some SAT II’s (Math 1, Math 2, Physics?, Literature?).

NYU will probably be your reach. Also try Boston College, GA Tech, U of Wisconsin-Madison, some of the UC schools, UT Austin, Florida, Maryland, Clemson…
