Do I have a smidgen of a chance?

Please be honest. Thanks

Don’t be baffled. With a 9% acceptance rate, and lots of institutional priorities (as in, the committee must accept athletes to fill many teams, make sure there is geographic diversity, etc.), there is no way anyone on the outside can understand what happens behind the closed doors. There is no one formula for admission – all you can do is present yourself as best as possible.

You have the grades and standardized test scores that make you qualified for admission. After that, it’s whether you offer something that the admissions committee thinks Brown needs. Do you? You belong to 7 clubs – that’s a lot. Do you just go to meetings once a week? Or have you accomplished something substantive, propelled a club to do something that’s made a difference in your high school or your community? That’s what the admissions committee is looking for.

You definitely have a chance. I think you know that, but want reinforcement by some idiots on the Internet. Ultimately Admissions decides, but your stats are exemplary.
