Hi,
I'm a sophomore, so this may seem a little early -- but I am really anxious about my college prospects!

Here's a rundown of the stuff I have so far:
*I will be taking the SAT this coming weekend

Freshmen:
GPA: 3.86, 4.00 weighted
A's in Bio, English, PE, Business, Art, Spanish 2 but B's both semester in Pre-Calc H

ECs (I have very few)
-Cross Country (which I have quit this year)
-Debate
-Teen Library Council
-Volunteering ~50 hours (Autism Center, Retirement Center, California Scholarship Federation, TLC hours also included)
-Spanish Honors Society (which I guess also falls in Volunteering)

As you can see, I have very few extracurricular and 0 leadership positions, a bad GPA (my grades currently are even worse but since the semester hasn't ended yet...). However, my high school is a very competitive Californian school.

I am into writing, and less math and science-inclined (even though I am Asian), so would applying for a less-STEM major increase my chances at a top school?

My family income is above 250,000, will that also affect my chances?

Obviously, I know it is probably difficult to assess my circumstance as I have not taken many of the standardized tests, but is what could potentially be my 1)safety 2)target and 3) reach schools? I obviously won't make it to any Ivies, but is there any chance of me getting somewhere like Duke, UMich, Northwestern, Tufts, Boston College, or a top liberal arts school?

I am very worried right now so please help!
