& other random stuff i cant remember (nor do i have the patience to consult my resume)..

so, please be honest, should i abandon all hope? :[

Personally, I believe you will be admitted ED. You are probably going for A & S, which works for your SAT scores. My son was the opposite - 610 in CR and 800 in math. Thankfully, he applied to engineering and was admitted. I really think you’re fine if your essays are strong and your recommendations are solid.

I think you’ll be admitted! Colgate admits 50% of its incoming class Early Decision. Your SAT scores, extracurriculars, and GPA all seem fine to me. I visited Colgate and you seem like the type of student they’re looking for! I’ve heard it helps if you’re applying out-of-state. Good Luck :)

By the way if you’re passionate about genealogy, you should research my family history for me. I think I’m related too Gloria Vanderbilt/Wyatt Emory Cooper, but I can’t figure out who Wyatt’s parents were. Wyatt is from Quitman, MS which is the same area my family’s Coopers were from, so I may be related to a Vanderbilt! If you get bored, there’s a project for you :P

tenaciousE, id love to do that! thats so interesting. if you want you can send me a pm and i can try to figure out if you’re related to the Vanderbilts!
