Do I have any chance at all? --Transfer from VCCS

I am currently attending a community college in Virginia. I was going to transfer into UVA next fall as an astronomy-physics major but I have changed my mind and now I want to study aerospace engineering since that's going to help me accomplish my goals in life without having to go to grad school right after college.

The thing is that I was going to apply under the GAA between my CC and UVA to get into the College of Arts & Sciences but that's no longer the case. Instead, i have to apply to the Engineering school. And i cannot apply under the GAA because i got a C the first time I took Calc I -- i retook it and got an A. I also have a low GPA because I have 3 other C's besides that one, Soc I, Soc II, and intro computer science. I don't know if this matters but I got that C in computer science because I missed the final exam. And I got those C's in Soc because I took them while I was taking ESL; I did not understand English very well and I had to pay the price(same goes for Calc I). As a result of this, my GPA is only 3.5. Also, I am taking my first engineering class this semester, and i will be taking the rest next semester.

I am really stressed right now. I really want to go to UVA but it looks to me that my chances are slim to none. I've heard that they take into account the level of difficulty of the classes you've taken. But what exactly are considerer hard classes? Because the only ones I've had a hard time with are those Sociology classes (and some B's in some other things). Do I have any chance at all?
