I must be honest: people like you who post kind of annoy me. You know you have a chance so stop being stupid.

"Is this good enough? I am considering retaking..." NO! First of all, there was really no need for you to take both the SAT and ACT after you scored well on one or the other. Retaking just makes you look like an obsessive person. Typically people only take ACT and SAT if they don't score well on one of them or if they are homeschooled and need to prove that their education was strong. In your case, it will do absolutely nothing to get a 36 vs a 35, similar to how a 2400 would do you nothing as well. SAT II's are fine as well.

I had similar GPA/SAT -- you are good academically so don't be dumb! In terms of EC's, you have below average EC's for accepted applicants and no visible "hooks." Those two things combined, I don't think I can say whether or not you would get in; it will come down to essays, presentation, etc. You definitely have a chance though! Stop fretting over your 35 and work on essays or do something more productive...

No.

.

dOOd....with SATs that low what are you thinking?
you are like in the bottom 1 % for yale!!
OH NO!!!

your username has engineering in it... so why would you want to go to yale? they have sucky engineering...
i mean like... upenn is better...

well, honestly, i don't want to go ed anywhere and because yale is ea it's the only place i'm applying early. also, i got a letter from yale about their science expansion and they said they're putting 300 million into new facilities. so, overall, i think it's a good school to do early aciton at if i can get in!

Yale is not as bad anymore at engineering, and it's rapidly improving. Plus, there's a 1:1 student to faculty ratio in engineering. If you love one of the top schools, it doesn't matter if it's the best at what you want to major in. They're all solid schools and fit is really what matters most.

With that said, I think you'll get in.

OP,
You're new here, so it's great you're being humble, but no need to push it too far as it only results in a negative boomerang (as you can see by some of the responses). Just be straightforward, you've done a great job and stats wise will be in the top of the application pool.

Yes, you have a chance at Yale and no, you should not take the ACT again. Right now you should concentrate on writing a couple of killer essays.

I really hope that this was a joke thread, because I agree to everything said on college confidential. Unless you cussed out the person interviewing you or got expelled from 20 schools, I'm sure you'll get in. Next time don't waste peoples time who had to read your credentials. You know you'll get in. And if you dont, then hooray for tomorrow

I disagree with joelyam. I think you'll get in somewhere good, but my bet for Yale is that they defer and then reject you unless you have really good essays. Your ECs are pretty darn boring; you have nothing notable really outside of some school activities.

Either way, however, you are wasting people's times. You know you already have a shot -- so an "ANY" chances thread is pointless -- and your stats aren't so good that anyone is going to flatter you on a forum full of overacheivers.

Yale would pick someone like http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/yale-university/543344-now-chance-me-out.html over you any day of the week (even if her SAT's were 2100 or lower)...

You're good, chill out.

All you can do is wait and see at this point.

Obvious troll is obvious.

no chance at all, you have not cured cancer yet
