Well to start, for my first five semesters in high school, I basically did the minimum to get by (mostly Cs and Bs), but since the second semester of my junior year, I've decided to start trying much harder in school. As of now, my GPA is only a 2.639 (quite terrible, I know), but I've head a steady 3.5 semester/quarter GPA since last semester.

This year I'm taking some challenging classes (AP Physics, AP Psych, Pre-Calc, Engineering Physics) and am doing quite well in them. Also, am I correct in assuming that colleges will like that my latest grades have been my best? That shows I do care about my grades and future now, right?

My ACT score is a 28 (34 E, 32 M, 23 R, 24 S, 10 W, if that really matters)

I'm waiting until after first semester is over to apply, as I want my cumulative GPA to increase, but it will probably only be a 2.8.

I don't do any extracurriculars at my school, as I devote much of my time to playing guitar and writing music (been playing for six years now), but as long as I'm doing something productive with my life, will schools like that?

Do you think there's any chance of me being accepted? I'd really love to go here.

PS. sorry about the poor wording, I'm feeling kind of scatterbrained at the moment. Thanks for taking the time to help me out with my question.
