do i have a chance at BC? or should i not waste my time.

it is my top choice by FAR.

thanks :)

Sorry, but since you asked I don't think your chances are very good at getting admitted - if you look at the 06-07 stats you'll see why. That said, BC does look at more than stats, so my advice is in addition to getting A's in your remaining courses & getting over 2000 on the SAT, you focus on writing an amazing essay, stellar recs, and of course, if you can get recruited with the crew team, that could be your in. You do have a lot of great service experience, so keep that up. Good Luck

I say at best you'll be waitlisted.

college admissions are very unpredictable, with that said, he has incredible ec's and colleges love students who do better every year, although your SAT's are low, you have an outside chance of getting in

try retaking them in june/the fall

I think it really could go either way. Since BC has gotten so selective lately (27% for the Class of 2011), I would give you perhaps the average chance of getting in. Unfortunately your SAT's will most likely hurt you, though your community service record is much better than mine.

If it means anything, my stats:

GPA: 3.9/4.0 (uw)
SAT: 1400(M/CR)/2080(M/CR/WR)

Decent EC's, <100 hrs community service.

Hey is thatt the st. ignatius college prep in san francisco?
and were you in the 2006 varsity 8?
if so, what a season man. great job at henley. and nice 2k score ESPECIALLY if youre going lightweight. i mean then you could go ansolutely anywhere. i'm not really sure if people on collegeconfidential understand rowing/sports in general.
