I'm a fool for posting this, and I know I have no chance of getting in on the path I'm headed. I want suggestions like what I should aim for on my SATs (not taken yet) and if my lack of math skills is a crutch. I'm currently in 10th grade. My grades are high B's so far, and last year my GPA was 3.7, but I've had a rough start this year. Is it possible for me to turn my high school performance around at this point? And should I even bother trying for Stanford?

Classes this year:
Enriched English I
Enriched Chemistry
Enriched US History I
Geometry (lower level. Major crutch. My guidance counselor says I'll never get into Calculus when I'm a senior)
(My other classes don't have APs, Honors, or Enriched available)

Extracurriculars:
-Active member of my local historic society (1 year)
-Volunteering, including my local Republican committee, a retirement home, my local historic society, my church, soup kitchens and my public library. I'll be at 1000 hrs by the time I graduate, currently I'm at 150.
-Member of my county's Teenage Republican club (1 year)
-Key Club (1 year)
-TV Production Club (2 years)*
-Publicity Manager for Fall Play (1 year)
-Diversity Club (1 year)*
-Colorguard (1 year)
-Interning my father's income tax business (2 years)
-Quizbowl member (1 year)*
-Taekwondo (1 year-only got to yellow belt)

I am EXTREMELY passionate about politics. I've volunteered for the recent campaigns and I suppose why Stanford stands out to me is because 1.) Herbert Hoover was one of the first students and 2.) The Hoover Institution on campus. All of my idols are fellows there. I'd like to major in political science, as I have NO chance of economics with my math grades. In my free time I study politics, history and economics.

Just something extra:
-I'm apart of a set of triplets, born prematurely. I also have ADD (although I can handle it). This year I've gotten rid of pull-out tests.
-White, female and I'm not sure of my family's income but it's not one of the lower brackets. The problem is I have to apply for scholarships because my parents will have to pay for my sibling's tuition as well...

*These aren't recognized school clubs (they're run by teachers but only make up a small group of students, only meet once a week for a half hour and we don't get a place in the yearbook, so I don't know whether or not to include it.)

Other schools I want to go to: Seton Hall and Columbia, my parents both went there (I KNOW COLUMBIA IS A LONG SHOT). Also Rutgers.

THANK YOU!
