Applying to BC, Wisconsin-Madison, Urbana-Champaign, Tufts, Syracuse, USC
chance me on these schools as well, please

Get your SAT up. I know, it sucks to hear that 1370 might not be good enough, but that's the way admissions is going nowadays. Also, your grades are a little low, but then again, I don't know how competitive your school is. And I know you said your school "doesn't rank," but you should at least be able to reasonably guess at your rank. You should feel comfortable if you're in the top 10%.

And, last but not least, the standard response for everyone - make sure your essays are great, not just ok. They're really the only way that the adcoms can get to know you as a person.

I would say you have a decent shot at the rest of those places, as ND is substantially more competitive than any of those (some will argue BC and ND are on par but... well, they're not).

thank you for your reply. our school is in the top 5 boarding schools in america :) but even so i also wished that my grades were higher (im prolly 15/200 in terms of ranking but can't tell for sure)...im taking the SAT and the ACT in October and also i have signed up for courses at harvard extension school (linear algebra and physics) to boost up my academic record. anyway, thanks again!

hey, i think just put some hard work into whatever you have left and you have a good shot.

your grade trend looks good, your SATs are okay (could be stronger but theyre solid), and you seem pretty involved. just work hard with the SAT and see if you can improve a little bit and you have as good a chance as any other student

thank you bobby for your response!
