Do I have any chance of getting into Phillips Academy Andover???

Okay, so, I'm an 8th grader in Montana (virtually no one apply's from MT, will that help me at all?) and my SSAT scores were

math-737-85%
reading-725-93%
verbal-743-91%
overall-2205-93%

I know my interview went well, the interveiwer was so happy that someone actually chose her that we talked for 2 hours longer than we were supposed to.

I'm not entirely sure how my essay's went, I personally thought they were pretty good, and they really reflected me, but I didn't know if they wanted personality in them or just a book-report type paragraph.

Since I started middle school, none of my grades have ever been under an A, but I do get an occasional A-.

Extra curric.
Science Olympiad team (2 years)
Track team (3 years)
Volleyball (2 years)
Figure skating (5 years)
Secretary of Student Council (1 year) and normal student council (2 years)
PEAK gifted and talented (6 years)- its a program thats just for kids that might not be challenged enough with the normal curriculum, so they give us extra skills
Every Monday during my lunch and advisor/study hall I go to a neighboring elementry school and teach basic skills to kindergardeners
Viola (3 years)

Also I got really good reccomendations (I know our teachers aren't supposed to tell us, but my math and english teacher did, I don't think they know that it wasn't allowed. And I've known my principle since I was in first grade and he really likes me)

Is there anyway at all that I could get into Andover? It was the only school I found that actually fit everything I wanted, and there is no way I'm moving accross the country if I don't completely love the school I'm at.

Any answers are greatly appreciated. Stress on the greatly part. Thanks

Trust me, you WILL get in. Not maybe, not no. You WILL get in.

Dude, nobody knows.
nothing is a WILL.
there is always a chance

Thanks (: Mytherrus is right though nobody knows for sure, but it’s always nice to hear it anyway

i know
these chance threads are also misleading.
people who got accepted lie to scare future applicants, or they’re fishing for complements.
whereas, people can be just that good and you have no chance (not likely)
good luck

so so very true. People should just say what they mean and get it over with. It would make life a lot easier.

hey @gofiguresk8‌ did you end up getting in?

I was about to give a detailed answer but I realized that this thread is more than 3 years old.,. No use now!

The original poster has long ago left these boards for parts unknown. Don’t resurrect old threads. Closing.
