Mwfan1921:
I can’t chance you but don’t see any safeties on your list. A safety must have a very high likelihood of acceptance and be affordable.
If not U Rochester, what school will you be applying to ED?
Run the net price calculator on each school’s site, and come back here and tell us the results. Here is U Rochester’s (do the more indepth CollegeBoard one, rather than the less detailed MyIntuition option): https://npc.collegeboard.org/app/Rochester
NPCs may not be accurate if your parents are divorced, own a business, or own real estate beyond a primary home.
I strongly encourage you to not use your ED app on a school that will not be affordable. Technically you can get out of the binding nature of an ED acceptance for lack of affordability since one can know approximate affordability via the NPC before applying.
If your family income is below $65K, with little to no assets, I would also encourage you to look at Questbridge. It could be a great option for you, but time is getting tight for the application: https://www.questbridge.org/high-school-students/national-college-match/who-should-apply ?

Run the net price calculator on UR. It’s usually pretty accurate. UR likes interest, and applying ED gives you a clear advantage.
But I agree, that’s a list with no safeties and a bunch of reaches. You need to find a safety or two.
Oh I do have safeties. Just didn’t list them because they are safeties and I know I will get in. I was more curious about schools that I am not confident I can get in.
My parents unfortunately do have some assets so I don’t think Questbridge will work for me.
