Do I have any chance to a decent school (State)

Hey everyone, long time lurker of these threads :P

Anyway, I've been thinking that I really have a weak chance to get to some of the schools I want, I think. My dream school is Duke University, but I'm looking more into Stony Brook and other state schools (New York).

A little about me
-About a 90 unweighted, 93ish weighted (weak I know)
-Only took 2 AP's no honors
Ap Art history - 4 on exam, 90 for the class
Ap Us History - 5 on exam, 85 for the class
-Volunteer at my local hospital, I barely did it though, and now I don't.
(About 30 hours -_-)
-I played tennis for Freshmen to Junior year (JV because I suck), and I don't want to embarrass myself and not making Varsity next year so I'm not trying out.
-Been in some clubs (Leo club, Italian, Japanese club)
*I do like nothing in the club though, I just sign my name --
-Studied abroad in Japan for about 2 months on a scholarship
-Next year taking 4 APs (Psychology, Biology, Statistics, and Economics)
-Only thing I do now a days is study pretty much 24/7 Japanese (I want to study abroad in Japan for college and minor in Japanese)
*My school doesn't offer Japanese so I self study it instead, ever since I left Japan my serious study habits awakened ^^. (4-5 hours a day)
Planning to take the AP japanese to prove my ability which I'm sure I will do fine on, but I believe college decisions are done before Ap scores come?

I'm guessing my wants are important also?
-Want to major in either Mechanical Engineering, Nanotechnology Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.
-Minor in Japanese
-Study abroad in Japan for a year
-Interns in Japan??

Advice please ^^

What are your SAT scores?

Oh I knew I was forgetting something!

My Sat score sucks hard (1560)
580 - Math
500- Reading
480 - Writing

It was my first time taking it though and I pretty much didn’t study besides some basic prep class. I’m taking it again soon, I don’t know how thats going to turn out.

I think your GPA is ok, not for duke, but for other good schools (some UCs maybe).
Get the SAT score up!
And why aren’t you trying out for tennis? Can’t you just drop it after, if you don’t make varsity?

Duke Pratt: High reach (ED won’t save you; aim for 33+/2200+)
Stony Brook: Reach

Yeah I know it’s not realistic for me to go into Duke, but to Stony Brook is it a reach because of the SAT? If so how much should I raise it by.

Any opinions what would be decent safety schools?
