<p>I am a senior in high school right now that's looking at colleges like Lehigh, Cornell, Brandeis and other pretty competitive schools. However my GPA and ecs are not very strong due to my personal situation. I have had to volunteer over 40 hours a week for the past 4 years at my family's restaurant while attending high school. I'm only in the top 18% (96 weighted gpa) ,my Sat score is about 2000,and I virtually have no ecs due to my commitment.</p>

<p>I will be needing financial aid as it is a single parent household and it is a constant struggle to make end's meet. I'm also a southeastern Asian.</p>

<p>Actually your EC is your job. You can write an essay from the business perspective of a family business. </p>
