Do I have any chances of getting into or just loosing my time?

<p>It seems like here you get your answer faster =) So I repost my question here.
I'm an international student looking for FA.</p>

<p>Background:
Moldova (Eastern Europe, the poorest country in Europe, actually),
my parents have no college education.</p>

<p>Academics:
I've graduated from two high schools at the same time. One was a regular high school, another was an on-line school located in Russia. It required to complete a high school curricula in a year x(
Moldovan diploma - 8,81 out of 10. Exams - 9,0 out of 10 (Russian literature, English, Physics - 10, Romanian - 8, Math - 7. Romanian was my fault, since the day before I caught a flu :/ And about math - there was no student in my school, who got 8.).
Russian one - 4, 35 out of 5.
I'm not sure about Russia, but in Moldova my gpa could have got me into every college I wish. But I don't xD</p>

<p>Nor Moldovan, neither Russian school offers any choice what to study, neither offer they a choice in level.</p>

<p>However, we have a student contests called 'olympics'. Have a regional award on English and Russian literature olympics. Here it weights really much.</p>

<p>I fluently speak 4 languages (Russian as a native, Moldovan as an official language of my country, English and Romanian (it is considered that Moldovan is a dialect of Romanian)). I began studying Japanese a year ago (in 12th grade) and continue it PG. I can speak it already o_O'</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Non-academic are too expensive, so I took academic ones.
I studied math and physics in 11th and 12th grade of high school as extracurricular.
In 12th grade it was math, physics, social sciences and History of Russia. And, of course, Japanese language and culture, where I was a President of our group, if that's relevant.
In 10th grade I played guitar and couldn't think about anything else, - that much i loved it xD</p>

<p>No SAT I, SAT II scores yet - my exams were rescheduled since the swine flu panic here and in the neighbour countries x(
However, i tend to get the maximum. About MATH I,II i'm pretty sure, but the third SAT II (biology) I can get around... um, 670-720, i guess.</p>

<p>Can I get into U of Columbia or Harvard? Or I'm wasting my time? :/
/Just in case you wonder: I'm applying to some universities more ^^/</p>

<p>P.S. To the latest news what I've got - my gpa on 4.0 scale is about 3.6. Not sure, however.</p>
