Chances? Suggestions for improvement? I would like to know where I should focus my efforts for next year

you have as much chance as anyone else...you're about the average cornell applicant...

the key to getting in is telling cornell why the program/major you are applying is the right one for you and how cornell is unique vs. other programs/schools you are applying to...

dont forget that there is a CS major in engineering as well...in CAS you will be required to take a language...so say why CAS is right for you (instead of engineering)

Try to raise your CR and writing scores.

the writing is actually supposed to be a 720...sry about that

Try raising the CR a little, but don't go nuts. I got in with a 680 math and 700 verbal...so there's leeway. Keep the grades up. Also, do some more interesting activities. If you are into CS, maybe try hooking urself up with a mentor/prof @ ur local university who is into computer science. If u have interests in other sciences ( engineering) try doing a research project witha professor in which you can work with/write programs to do something related to engineering, etc...u get the drift.

Chances very average for RD, if u follow the above, u will be good for ED assuming recs/essays are good.

no, no hope at all
