Do I have any hope for UCLA or UCSD

Per the UC Statfinder http://statfinder.ucop.edu/statfinder/default.aspx</a> , admissions results into UCLA during 2009 was as follows, per “UC Weighted Capped GPA” band and per SAT score band:

3.40 - 3.59 with 2100+ SAT: 2.4%
3.60 - 3.79 with 2100+ SAT: 6%
3.80 - 3.99 with 2100+ SAT: 20.6%
4.00 - 4.19 with 2100+ SAT: 51.1%

to the posters above who thought that a high SAT is near guaranteed admission into UCLA, you are now educated. UCs put more emphasis on GPA (actual performance in an actual classroom), than on the SAT (IQ test). You must have both, but GPA is more important. UCLA and Berkeley will admit high GPA, lower test scores more readily than low GPA and high test score.

Go figure. Keep you chin up, do your best, and become part of the 6% that get into UCLA with a 3.6-3.79 GPA and 2100+ SAT.
