Im just wondering if I have any shot at UVA. I have a 4.27 GPA (24 out of 626) and have a 1390 ( 760 M, 630 V). On the SAT II's I got a 550 in writing, a 570 in chemistry, a 690 in math I, and a 620 in Math II.
As far as extracurriculars go, I was the Captain of my high school golf team, a member of the national honor society, in the spanish club, and on the math team.
By the way, I live in PA, i know being out of state can make a big difference.

i am applying to uva, also... ur sat isnt very hot for an out of state, so is gpa... its lower than mine... u only have abetter sat I score than me, and i got deferred instate early decision.. nothing personal, but i have better stats than u as far as ec's and sat ii and gpa

Thanks for the help, i appreciate it, I don't have my hopes up for UVA, but i figured I'd give it a shot.

UVA is like UNC very tough for out of state applicants. Might want to add some good liberal art schools. Holy Cross a member of the highly academic Patriot League has a January 15th deadline.

honestly, i think the sat 2s are a bit low. the ec's are also a bit lacking. give it a try though--with UVa you never know :)

I think you're on the weak side... but I also THOUGHT (it's been a year) UVA doesn't need SAT IIs for decisions, only upon enrollment?

crichessill, where else you applying?

tech, vcu.... thats it

thanks for your replies!
