If I have 38 credits(3.9 gpa) completed by the time I apply, how much will they look at my hs transcript and SAT? 2.8 hs gpa, 1440/2400 sat. Should I give it a shot this year or acquire more credits and attempt to get in next year?

PS- I'm a URM, if that helps

With such a high GPA, I would absolutely give it a shot. The only thing you have to lose is your application fee. Make sure to write a great application essay that shows why you want to transfer to Vanderbilt. If you are not admitted, keep the focus on your schoolwork for the next semester or year – then try again.

Good luck.

Go for it! If you know you want to transfer, don’t wait. You’ve got an excellent gpa too. Why wait? Many schools want you there for a minimum for 2 years. Don’t wait, if this is what you want.
