do i have chance for stern?

I am thinking about applying for stern, I have around 3.5-3.6 GPA, and around 2000 sat score, do i have a chance?

I was just going to ask the same…4.3 GPA and a 2290 SAT
Please chance me too… Any Stern Freshman that can tell us about it??

3.5-3.6 uw gpa with a 2000 sat score is reach…depending on ur ec’s and other hooks that u may have, maybe not

4.3 is w wat is ur uw? tho ur most likely in/match due to ur high sats

sorry, what’s a reach mean?

my EC are
civil rights team since 7th grade to 12th grade except 9th grade… (5 years)
student council 8-9 grade, class officer 10-12 grade (10 grade was president)
cross country running 9-12 grade
track 10-12 grade
chorus 6-9 grade (a class in school)
FBLA 11-12 grade
National honors society 11-12 grade
yearbook 10 grade (a class, don’t know if it counts)
chess since 8-12 grade (I went to a few chess tournments, but there isn’t a team at my school so is that count as an EC?)

other things
got recognize by johns hopkins for a high math score on the SAT in 8th grade.
200+ volunteer hours

PS. how many college is the maximum I can apply for?
tyvm

@bobbob924: I would say mid-reach. You can apply to as many college as you want, unless you are restrained by your hig school.

I am from a reasonably poor family… so do you think is wroth it to apply for it? and does chess, yearbook, and chorus count as EC? I heard something that the application fee may weave… so how’s that work?

Thank you

Also I looked at business week ranking… and for some reason BOston College’s ranking is higher than NYU… If I get accepted to both, should I go to BC or NYU?

what is reach, mid-reach, low reach, match, and safety school mean? thank you for that helped.

what is reach, mid-reach, low reach, match, and safety school mean? thank you for that helped.

Reach is a school that you probably can’t get into but I still possible. So it’s easy to figure out what mid and low reach is from that. Match is a school that has the same stats as you and safety is a school you know you will get in, like a backup school
