NOTE: I am NOT a community college student, I am just a high school student taking advanced courses at my community college.

Everyone has a chance. I think you should still apply, but not EA because you should use your EA wisely to get into a safety school

I like your profile. It’s interesting and impressive, both academically and extra curricular wise. You should definitely apply, but maybe work on that SAT score. You still have time.
However “opened your own business”?? You’ll have to explain the context, was it with family money? How did you do it? what help did you get?

With my business I had a couple thousand in saving from working and stuff since I was little as a babysitter and any other odd job I could find. Then I got some multimedia equipment and kept getting more professional, high-tech equipment as money came in from the orders. So there was little to no help involved. I made my own brochures and advertising campaigns, made my own connections, etc. It’s been a lot of hard work, but it’s really paid off!

You have a chance, but as stated above, not a good one.

@jengajenga117 yeah but … it’s a safety school. I think it’s EA that you have to bind an agreement stating that if you get accepted you HAVE to drop all of your acceptances and go there. So if you got accepted into Harvard, and say your safety is something like Bowdoin, and you apply EA to that… then you can’t go to Harvard. @LoveEducation do not apply EA to your safety schools… only to your absolute TOP choice! Good luck. and @609Represent how come she doesn’t stand a good chance? I think her resume is fantastic. Everyone has a chance, and I’m sure she’ll get into at least one Ivy. If anything, Cornell. Good chance for Dartmouth, Middlebury (no that’s not an Ivy, but it does compare!), etc… Good luck!!!

^No, ur confusing that with ED. EA is non binding. the only agreement you sign for EA is for single choice EAs (for HYP) and that is that you dont apply to any school early ACTION. You can apply to them in Regular decision.
ED is the binding one where if you get in you have to go.

@perfectpixie Ahh, thank you for clearing that up :stuck_out_tongue: I got them confused is all. haha.

Thank you for the input everyone. I am happy to know that Harvard isn’t completely ruled out for me as it is my absolute dream school. But I definitely do have safety schools and “matches” lined up. Also, thanks for clearing up the EA/ED up; I was a little confused by those too.
