I am a californian resident and now studying in private 4 year uni. I got 3.8 GPA for this sem and my previous average GPA was 3.5. I know it is more difficult to transfer to UCs when u entered a private uni but i would like to know what r my chances of transferrin into the UCSB econ major with an emphasis in accounting? thank you in advance.

Probably pretty high, to be honest. Your overall GPA looks pretty darn good and UCSB seems to be pretty leniant on transfers. I got in with a 3.9 GPA but I know a few friends who got in with 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, etc.

your GPA is great, but you don't hint at what courses you've taken -- the Bus. Econ Accounting emphasis has pretty specific prerequisites; also, your coursework might have more, or less, clout, depending on the status of your current private school. So, overall, you haven't given us enough information for even a wild guess

dude you're in...you'll probably even get invite to honors because your gpa is over 3.6 (as I did)...you may wanna check that out. It looks interesting...good luck
