How detrimental to my application is not having SAT subject tests? Even with a decent 32 on the ACT, will I have no chance applying to schools like Cornell, Notre Dame, UNC (oos), and UVA (oos)?

If they aren’t required, they technically should not hurt your chances at all. I really do not think it will have a large effect.

Generally most schools will accept just the ACT’s now-a-days. Schools won’t see you any differently by not taking them. There are a couple schools that might require the SAT II Subject Tests on top of the ACT’s, but you would have to look at each school and see what they require. Very few schools require anything on-top of the ACT+Writing.

Ok. My schools just “recommend” taking SAT II Subject Tests.

You seem perfectly qualified in all other aspects of your application so I doubt it’ll affect you that badly

K thank you

I would say it’s a judgement call on whether or not to submit the SAT II Subject Tests… Maybe it would be a good idea to call the admission’s office of each school and ask them for their opinion. I mean they are the ones who are going to be accepting you or rejecting you, not us. Admission’s offices can be very resourceful.
