i haven't decided on a major and decided once and for all to
just fill up w/ courses that interested me.
well, w/ three courses involving my intended major :P
so i guess it's not as free as i wanted it to be but...

i'm considering law, journalism, or med.
possibly two of the three
(obv. not med and law)
will i have time to fulfill those requirements after having a relatively
open/random freshman year?

well, you can be both pre-law and pre-med at Cornell, since I met someone did that. I don’t think that’s a particularly useful route to take, but if you like those areas of study anyway I guess it’s not so bad.
I agree that you would probably want to get on the pre-med requirements soonest, since for example you need gen chem for orgo which you (ideally) need for biochem…that sort of series of pre-reqs is somewhat limiting.
you could join a student publication or even the Daily Sun for journalism, but as previously noted there isn’t a major.

since pre-law and pre-med are not majors either, I am wondering what your actual intended major is?

as cayuga often tells kids on here…when you go to a top school like cornell all that matters is knowing your subject matter but most importantly knowing how to write well…
