Do I have to accept/decline Financial aid

I have options for loans and work-study at UCLA according to my ePAL: provisional award letter. After accessing ePAL and reviewing my financial aid, is there anything I have to do? Do I have to accept/decline the work-study programs/loans offered like the SIR or is it automatically given to me without having to do anything? I just don't see a button to "accept/decline" anywhere so I was just curious.

On the UCI financial aid website it gave me a button to "accept the terms and conditions of my financial aid" and whether to accept or decline work-study/loans, so I was wondering if there were any for UCLA.

Check the school’s website. Look on the Financial Aid page, there may be something along the lines of “Understanding your award” or “Responding to your award” or something similar. Somewhere on there, it should tell you what you need to do. If not, you can call the FA office on Monday.

please help!!

Call UCLA and ask them. We don’t know from your discussion above.

Try posting on the UCLA board here on College Confidential. Someone who has navigated the online FA info will probably be able to help you. It’s not uncommon for schools to automatically accept for you all grant and scholarship aid, but you then need to either accept, decline, or leave the status as pending on all loans and workstudy. The Perkins loans (if you got one of those) often have an early deadline (at some schools it’s today) for acceptance so check that out if it’s applicable in your case. If no one on the UCLA board can shed any light on this, you’ll have to wait until Monday and give the financial aid office a call.
