Do I have to drop one of my classes?

<p>A couple of days ago I randomly checked my schedule to to see what classes I signed up for. And lo and behold, I see that I have a schedule conflict that I didn't see before. My math discussion is 4-5 but one of my poli classes is 4-7. Since I'm an incoming second year, I can't change my schedule right now, and I'm worried that when I can, there won't be any spaces left. So my question is, can I just go to a different discussion or will I have to drop math?</p>

<p>On a side note, I realized that I signed up for a 9am discussion for my other poli class when the 3pm was wide open. What was I thinking?? I must have been half asleep when I was signing up for classes.</p>

<p>^It depends on if everything is full and if your sections are mandatory or not. If you can switch, switch. If you can’t, wait until the quarter starts to see if the sections are mandatory and have a backup class ready.</p>
