So my life science2 discussion conflicts with my physics 6a discussion (i have miao). And of course ls 2 disc. is a must. But what about physics 6a discussion for Prof. miao? Does he require attendance in discussion/ are there quizzes/ other important crap you need? Thanks in advance.

are u even allowed to enroll in a class if there are conflicts? i dont think ursa will let u..

it lets you. a window pops up to the gist of "you dummy, do you realize you're signing up for two classes at the same time?" you say yes, and all is good.

right. now on to the pressing question at hand..

not sure about professor miao specifically, but all my 6 series discussions were optional. just reviewing concepts from lecture, going over sample/homework problems and passing back old homework.

if you want, you can also talk to the TA and ask them if they will let you go to another one of their sections if you cant make the one you're enrolled in.

i never went to physics discussions. labs are mandatory

Physics discussions are worthless... so are the labs for that matter, but you have to go to those. You don't have to go to discussion, so don't go. You won't miss anything.
