I did robotics up to grade 11 (no more robotics team in grade 12), I liked it, and I was the team captain in grade 11 and my team got the award from the regional championship. I put this in the non-academic awards section. Do I have to list robotics as one of the 4 activities that get a 40-word explanation? I have other activities that I’d rather talk about (it’s more recent), and Common app has like 10 slots so it was fine but MIT only gives 4 slots for activities so I don’t want to spend that one slot on robotics if I don’t have to. Is it necessary to list it in activities if I listed an award from that activity in the awards section?
